The City of Owensboro Parks & Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for  Summer Day Camps. Registration is now open for returning families. NEW family registration begins on February 21.

Camps will take place May 28 – August 2 for ages 5-12. Children age 5 must currently be enrolled in kindergarten. Each camp is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Early morning drop-off is available at 7:00 a.m. for an additional $2 per day. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided at both camps. Owensboro Parks & Recreation is a member of the American Camp Association.

The traditional Summer Day Camp is located at the Owensboro Parks & Recreation Administration Center, 1530 McJohnson Avenue. Campers will swim twice a week, attend a weekly fieldtrip, play games, and meet special guests.

The Edge Summer Day Camp is for children who love to skate! Campers will get time on the ice with a counselor who is educated in figure skating, hockey, or recreational skating. Campers will spend the afternoon playing games, swimming, and attending field trips.

There is an annual $70, plus tax, non-refundable registration fee and a weekly fee of $110, plus tax. Scholarships are available to those who qualify. The registration fee is an annual fee that is good for summer, spring break, fall break, and holiday camps.  The $70 registration and the first week of camp fees are due at the time of registration.

There is a Sibling Discount of $5 per child per week for each additional sibling, from the same household. This discount is not applicable to campers in our scholarship program.

Space is limited so sign your child up before it is too late! The registration deadline is April 12. For more information 270.687.8700 or to print out our registration forms, please visit owensboroparks.org.
