OWENSBORO PARKS & RECREATION ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR SPRING BREAK & SUMMER CAMPS

 

Owensboro Parks & Recreation is now accepting registrations for Spring Break and Summer Day Camps for children ages 5-12. Registration for Spring Break Camp is currently open. Registration for Summer Day Camp is currently open for returning families, with new family registration beginning Wednesday, February 12. Camps include planned activities such as  crafts, games, sports, special guests, and field trips!

 

Spring Break Camp

  • Dates: March 31 – April 4
  • Fee: $115 per camper
  • Registration deadline: March 7
  • AM and PM snacks provided. Campers will need to bring sack lunch.
  • A full week of activities, games, and structured fun
  • A field trip to Fisher Park for Camp Olympics

 

Summer Day Camps

  • Dates: May 27 – August 8
  • Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    • (Early drop-off available at 7:00 a.m. for an additional $2 per day)
  • AM & PM Snacks and lunch is provided daily
  • Registration deadline: April 12.

 

Camp Options

  • Traditional Summer Day Camp
  • Location: Owensboro Parks & Recreation Administration Center, 1530 McJohnson Avenue
  • Swimming twice a week
  • Weekly field trips
  • Games, crafts and weekly special guest/events onsight
  • The Edge Summer Day Camp (For children who love to skate)
  • Daily ice skating with trained counselors experienced in figure skating, hockey, or recreational skating
  • Afternoon activities, games, crafts and fun activities.
  • swimming and field trips once a week.

 

Fees & Discounts

  • Annual $70 (plus tax) non-refundable registration fee (covers Spring Break, Summer, Fall Break, and Holiday Camps)
  • Weekly fee: $125 (plus tax) this includes all field trip fees.
  • Scholarships available for those who qualify
  • Sibling Discount: $5 off per additional child per week (not applicable for scholarship participants)

 

Space is limited, so families are encouraged to register as soon as possible.
