Ben Hawes Golf Course is currently having a new course irrigation system installed.  This project involves replacing the original piping and control system with a more efficient Rain Bird system that will allow detailed control and programming to meet the changing needs from hole to hole, tee to green at the course.

Update February 8 – In addition, the pump at the lake near hole 7 that feeds water through the system is being replaced.  The back nine and putting green areas have been completed.  Our contractor, GTI Irrigation is currently working on the front nine.  We anticipate completion of the project by late March should Mother Nature cooperate.

Update February 15  – The Mainline has been pulled for a large part of the front nine and now they are beginning work on individual holes starting with hole 1. Work on the pumphouse may be completed this week. The project is scheduled to be done by the end of March weather permitting.
