Kendall-Perkins Park, formerly called Douglas Park, is a 5 acre neighborhood park acquired in 1906. In 1973 the park was given the name Kendall-Perkins in memory of Joseph W. Kendall and Joseph P. Perkins, two citizens of Owensboro who gave years of selfless, tireless devotion to the neighborhood and children who lived in the area.

Kendall-Perkins has been the home to the Dust Bowl basketball tournament since its’ inception in 1973.
