English Park is a 13.1 acre park established in 1977. Located on the beautiful Ohio River it was the former home to the Ohio River Lock & Dam Number 46. The park was named after Peter B. English, who was lockmaster for 16 years. After the City received the deed to the property, development began. the Deed was between the United States Department of Interior and the City of Owensboro.
