Little Spikers – Youth Instructional Volleyball League

Register now for our Owensboro Parks & Recreation Little Spikers Youth Instructional Volleyball League. The League will get kids active and playing volleyball at a younger age. It will acquaint them with the sport, teach fundamentals and develop volleyball basic skills.

Little Spikers is for grades 3rd through 6th and is accepting registration for male and female participants. It will start February 14 and run through March 20. The players will practice every Sunday February 14, 21, and 28. Depending on team assignment players will also practice every Wednesday or Thursday February 17 through March 16. Players will get to put what they learned into action on Saturdays, March 6, 13, and 20 during their scheduled matches. Fee per player to participate is $85.

“In today’s society, sport is the number one way for kids to develop physically, emotionally and socially. Currently volleyball is the second largest high school sport behind track in the nation. This program will be a great opportunity to be introduced to this growing sport,” stated Steve Howard, Audubon Volleyball Association.
